C.B. James is a yet unpublished fiction writer with years of experience entertaining himself and his pet rabbit, Billy Pilgrim, with his exaggerated tales of heroism. He finds inspiration in the 20th century literature of his early manhood and at the bottom of every whiskey or craft beer glass. James is involved in an on-again, off-again semi-abusive relationship with noir novels, aspiring one day to solve a crime in a quaint, secret-filled New England suburb. He currently lives in whichever town his van breaks down and is in the works on his first novel, a space noir.
